Built around how songs actually get written.
Most songwriting ends up spread across four apps that don’t know about each other. The lyric is in Notes. The hum is in Voice Memos. The chords are on the back of an envelope. And the split — the part that decides who gets paid — is a text message someone sent at two in the morning and nobody can find.
This is one place for all of it, built on three convictions.
Songs don’t happen where there’s a signal
They happen in cars, on trains, in the back room of a venue, on a plane. A writing tool that needs a connection is a writing tool that isn’t there when you need it. So everything is on your device first — the lyrics, the takes, even the 134,000-word rhyming dictionary. The connection is how your work gets backed up, not how you reach it.
The splits should be settled while everyone remembers
The worst conversation in music is the one about who wrote the bridge, had three years after the fact, between people who used to be friends. Agreeing the percentages should take two minutes in the room where it happened, and then it should be written down, accepted by everybody, timestamped and locked.
A studio, not a game
No streaks shouting at you, no badges, no confetti for opening the app. A tool you can be serious in. The only thing it keeps track of is the writing.
Where it’s at
The studio runs in your browser today. The iPhone app is in testing and close — leave your email and we’ll tell you the day it’s out.
